About Studio 614
Located just north of Ohio State University’s campus and south of Clintonville, this Columbus-based art studio offers paint-and-sip classes and DIY workshops both at its brick-and-mortar space and as a traveling service. The studio can host up to 45 people for in-house classes, while off-site events can accommodate up to 200 participants depending on the project. Activities range from painting canvases and pouring candles to making goats milk soaps, string art, and self-care workshops. Private event packages are available for occasions such as bridal showers, team building, birthdays, baby showers, and bachelorette parties. The studio also partners with local businesses to hold classes and workshops at restaurants, bars, and other venues. Fundraisers are hosted regularly, supporting organizations like Girls on the Run of Franklin County, the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, the Franklin County Dog Shelter, and the American Heart Association. The space is BYOB, allowing guests to bring their own beverages. Studio 614 was founded by Megan Pando, who studied fine arts and business management at the University of Cincinnati and moved to Columbus in 2014. In 2020, she opened a sister business, Makers Social, in the Franklinton neighborhood. The studio’s events coordinator is Emma Kerbyson, a University of Kentucky hospitality graduate. The studio has been recognized by Columbus Monthly as a “Best of Columbus” nominee from 2016 through 2019 and by City Scene Magazine as a “Best of Columbus” nominee in 2017. Each year, approximately 30,000 people visit the studio. The studio serves individuals, groups, and local nonprofits through a variety of creative experiences.
